Cool-er Reader

I just bought the Cool-er reader in green. So far, I haven’t had problems with my device. During my research before I bought an ebook reader, I noticed that the Cool-er was often compared to the Kindle.
I gathered that it was because of the almost similar price and the trade off of features. The Cool-er was really less expensive, but it didn’t have wireless connection and a keyboard. On the other hand, the Kindle didn’t support PDF and it couldn’t play music. It also didn’t have expandable memory.
I took my own needs into consideration before making the choice. I didn’t really need wireless connection because I had a large and still growing collection of ebooks (and I know a lot of free sources too) – and they’re mostly in PDF! So that convinced me to get the Cool-er reader, and I even got it in my favorite color.
When I got the device, the resemblance to iPod was really obvious, especially the scroll wheel, although the wheel was a bit hard and more resistant than it looks. It just felt chunky to me. But the device itself performs well enough, although I didn’t like the font type.
The landscape reading mode was a bonus, though I don’t really use it much since I have to adjust the settings on my own every time. This was quite a hassle, and it’s just too much trouble to make the adjustment when I’m in the middle of reading.
But at the very least the Cool-er reader is attractive and dependable. I could read my favorite books on it and keep my growing library there as well. I also liked the paper-like display and the reader is light and portable.
