Opus Cybook reader

by Benjamin
(San Antonio, Texas)

I just got my Cybook reader recently. I went for the Cybook Opus because it looked better, at least for me, and it was smaller and thinner. I wasn’t wrong – the Opus is just compact and very portable that I now have it with me almost all the time.

I love to read, and I have to admit, my eyes are quite used to small font sizes since I read paperback novels all the time, so the small screen (smaller than the Kindle and most other ereaders, I think) wasn’t really an issue for me. From what I can see, the display, though small, was of good quality; it renders text quite well.

I love the automatic adjustment of the orientation of the screen. Although I like reading in portrait mode, I do sometimes use the landscape mode. My friend uses a reader which requires manual adjustment of the orientation, which really made me appreciate my Cybook’s automatic adjustment.

As for the battery, it lasts long enough, although I would appreciate an extension. The memory, however, is enough. 1 GB of storage is enough; it accommodates my entire ebook collection and still has quite enough space, which really motivates me to keep my collection growing.

The Cybook reader does not have that many features, but it does offer a good reading experience. In fact, I think it made me more of a book lover, only this time, I read ebooks instead of paperbacks. The price is just the right price to pay for the Opus, too, so all in all, the Cybook reader was a good buy.
