Plastic Logic Ebook Reader

I invested in the Plastic Logic ebook reader recently, and I’m pretty satisfied with my device. I really wanted an ebook reader with a larger screen. I found the large letter size screen comfortable especially when viewing files for the office.
I’m also more of a newspaper and magazine guy rather than a novel guy, and the larger screen is better for newspapers and magazines.
Other than the screen, one other thing I love most about the Plastic Logic ebook reader is its very thin body. It just feels great when I hold it in my hands.
I had to get used to it, though, because at first, I thought it was going to easily slip from my hands because I wasn’t gripping it tightly enough. Good thing it was also very light, so it barely takes an effort to hold.
I am more a fan of the large size of the screen than its plastic construction. While it’s true that the plastic screen had no glare, I know that most other ebook readers also use a display technology that prevents glare, so this wasn’t really a selling point for me.
The plastic display didn’t make that much of a difference in usage when I compared it with a colleague’s ebook reader. I guess the plastic screen just helped make the Plastic Logic ebook reader lighter. But in all fairness, the plastic display did help me be assured I wasn’t going to scratch or break the screen when I put the e-reader inside my bag.
All in all, I am satisfied with the Plastic Logic ebook reader; it has met all my requirements and is very trusty and dependable. I haven’t used it long, though, so I still have to test its durability a bit longer.
