Sony PRS-505

I bought the Sony PRS-505 a year ago during its heyday. I was pretty psyched to have such a well-reviewed product. The Sony Reader also lived up to the expectations heaped upon it by all the ratings and reviews, which I was able to prove based on my use of the product.
The ebook reader itself is a great product. It read my files well and they all looked good on the glare-free paper-like screen. For a book-lover like me, this was very important.
Even though I wanted a digital book reader, I wasn’t keen on losing the paperback touch when I enjoyed my books, so the Sony Reader did give me what I was looking for. Reading was also a breeze; page-turning was fast and smooth.
Although the navigation buttons felt a bit stiff, I didn’t have other usage issues about the Sony PRS-505. I even love that I can make the font size quite big. Although I can see fine, they help lessen the strain I get from reading too much.
However, I found the content software included in the package a bit limited. Sony didn’t offer user-friendly software where the user can sort and organize files. Instead, the software simply allowed you to load books into your Sony PRS-505. This was enough, but I was expecting more from a top electronics brand like Sony.
One more thing is that the ebook library offered by Sony is a bit limited, especially when compared to what Amazon promises for its Kindle. But as for a classics lover like me, Sony does offer the better classics collection, so that made up for the problem.
Overall, the Sony PRS-505 is a fun, easy, and functional ebook reader to use.
